Plainfield Community Outreach, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, contributions to which are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We currently offer the following programs:

GRACE'S KITCHEN is a monthly feeding program, serving over 1,000 meals on the last five days of each month, when people on assistance are having the hardest time with cash and other resources. Coordinator is Valarie Fisher, with the newsletter "Soups 'n Saints" published by Amy Conover. Crews from ten Episcopal and Presbyterian parishes rotate preparing and serving the meals each month.

THE PLAINFIELD GIRLCHOIR is an afterschool musical program for girls from grade 3 and up. Trained in the RSCM curriculum, the Girlchoir concertizes throughout the metropolitan New Jersey-New York area, and appears annually in the Choir Festival held at St. Bartholomew's Church, New York City. Their first CD is currently in production. The Musical Director since the group's founding in 1991 has been Dr. Andrew Moore, Grace Church's organist and choirmaster.

GIRLSPACE is an afterschool computer center for girls from grades 3 and up. Working individually and in teams, the girls learn to use computers and the Internet to pursue joint projects, research and homework. The Center is a network of 17 Pentium computers with Internet access located in a lab in the parish house basement. GIRLSPACE has its own website at www.girlspace.org/ which you may also check out. Program Coordinator is Tina Otte.
